Today I want to share Logan’s Room reveal with you all that I had the pleasure of styling and installing a couple weeks ago. His beautiful mumma Lisa recently moved into their new home and wanted some help creating a gorgeous space for her eldest son who is 8 yrs old.
We had a blank canvas and were starting from scratch for this space. The brief was for the room to last him well into his teens without it being a childish space, incorporating blues and blacks and having a more sophisticated timeless boys room. Most of the inspo Lisa provided me with were rooms that had that American style and warm vibes. I’m so pleased with how the room turned out and even more so that Lisa, Logan and their whole family adore it too.
Our starting point was to create a feature wall and we had the dilemma of painting or wallpapering the wall. Once I saw the Blue Dot Wallpaper from Little Rae prints i knew it was perfect for our feature wall. It’s such a lovely navy blue colour and the design is so versatile, with the slight scalloped pattern, It gave us the perfect pop of colour for the space and it was easy enough for my clients to install themselves. It also allows the room to evolve as Logan grows without the need of changing the wallpaper.
We wanted to keep the room minimal with only the necessary furniture in the space. No toys in the room as they have a separate playroom. However Logan is a gamer (he loves minecraft, video games, Nintendo switch) and we wanted to add a touch of that theme through the room without it overpowering the space. You can see this come through the cushion and artwork and he would also be able to add his personal touch through the desk nook.
Another thing the client wanted for her sons room was a dedicated space for him to read and do homework especially as he grows older he would need this space more. We Added the desk area for him with a personal keepsake print and the gorgeous Planet decals from Little Rae Prints again which instantly transform a boring wall.
Below are some images I took and a “Shop the Look” for some of the items. I hope you all love this space as much as we do.
