Hello Lovelies Happy Monday and hope you all had a lovely Easter !

Today I’m sharing with you all one of my client install rooms I did a couple months back. This room was inspired by a vintage and Scandinavia style for little Ava’s new toddler room.

The brief was to create a room that reflected Ava’s personality along with creating a room she would grow into and not be childish. My clients also wanted to incorporate a few items they already had, like the vintage bedhead along with creating zones within the room for play, rest and imagination.

Once I had the brief I knew I had to use the gorgeous new drape canopies as this would create a magical space and separate the bed into one zone on its own, the way you drape the sides of the canopy can create a different mood and space each time so this was the perfect addition to the room. Once my clients saw the canopy they fell in love too so we simply had to have it in the room.

One of the challenges I faced during the whole install and brief was that my clients were currently renting. So as you can imagine we were limited to what we could hang on the walls, we couldn’t change or re-paint the wall colors or use some sort of wallpaper. The walls were pretty damaged from previous owners and had minor marks here and there which we had to cover in some way.

This led us to using two canopies in the bedroom and a larger scale print with a few small removable decals. These were all strategically placed in the room to hide the larger marks and dents on the wall. Removable command hooks came pretty handy to hang all the pretty décor from the walls and ceiling. So for all those who are renting you can still create a magical space for your children.

I simply love the outcome of the finished room and more importantly so do my clients and little Ava. By using the gorgeous new drape canopy the bed can easily be moved around by my clients in the future and the drape will hide away the majority of the walls.
