Hello Everyone, hope you had a lovely weekend.
So after a few months going back and forth with doing a mini restyle of Christie’s room Its finally done.
Well it all started with winter, and me wanting to create a warmer look to Christie’s room because let’s face it what else is there to do than style and restyle lol. Unfortunately time got the better of me and its finally spring, If you can call Melbourne’s weather spring that is, so the warmer winter look turned into a somewhat spring look.
Now I know for some not much has changed and yes I know the furniture and the majority of the room still looks the same but I did say “mini restyle” so here it is, finally…
As much as I loveeee wallpaper hubby doesn’t so at this stage I’m unable to do a permanent wallpaper as a feature wall, and when it comes to paint I’m so indecisive. I decided to opt for the next thing and create a “gallery wall” with items both Christie and I love and in time these items can be easily replaced for a new look or for items that have some meaning and memories behind them.
The gallery wall is what really changed the feel of the room in my opinion along with the new Numero74 canopy and the vintage floral pillow case. The custom name plaque from Lauren Skorsis is the perfect touch to the wall and gives it that personal feel. The leather strap holder by Interior Motives was custom made for Christie’s room by Amanda and it’s absolutely stunning, it’s one item I really wanted in the room to feature some of Christie’s gorgeous clothes.
Another element I love is mixing and matching textures, colors and patterns as you can see I used two different bedding in combination with the floral pillow case. A plain fitted sheet and plain accent pillow always helps tie in the whole look when you have different patterns together, I used white to keep it simple. You can easily also have a plain throw on the bed in a soft pink or ivory color if you wanted to add another element and warmth.

Every item that went into this little mini restyle Christie absolutely loves. It was so nice to see her face light up and start playing with her new items. She absolutely adores her new “koukla” which is doll in Greek and sits on her cushion playing trying to wear her, her own clothes ha ha ha.. She even pulls out the storage to fill up with treasures. Way too cute!!
