As you know I have been working on our Livingroom make over since late last year. Its Now finally done and we are in love with this fresh new space.
We had our old sofa since we first moved in 6years ago. We bought our first sofa from Plush and absolutely loved the quality and style of it. It was still in amazing condition 6 years on but we needed a little refresh of the space to make it light and bright. As we loved what we had, we decided to stick with Plush for our new sofa. If you have been following along in my stories on Instagram you would have seen us go to their showroom and share some of our favorite options for our new sofa too.
Plush now offer such an amazing range of sofas and even have an AR option where you are able to see almost any of their sofas in your space using your phone or tablet/ipad. Every sofa can also be customized with their options to create a sofa to the orientation you need along with quite a wide range of fabric options to choose from. I ordered some Free samples online for each sofa I had in mind to visually see the colors in our home with the lighting and other furnishings, we also went in store to physically sit and see the sofas.
We decided to go with one of their New sofas called the Lexi – Modular sofa in Mirage Pewter fabric. This is the same fabric I used in Andrews Nursery. It was the perfect balance of a light grey without it being too light while our kids are still young. As we only have one living space I had to be mindful of what sofa to go with, what fabrics to choose and orientation. As much as id love a light sofa or a pretty shade of pink or light blue maybe, it wasn’t an option while our kids are still young. We spend most our time in this pace when we are home, the kids love to jump around on the sofa and we also sometime snack there or have an easy dinner on the sofa watching a movie. This is also why we added protection cover for the sofa. Hands down best thing you can do for your sofa. As you can see we chose the same orientation as before however this sofa is wider than our previous giving us more sitting space. Both Hubby and myself also love to lounge on the sofa so this also gives us both a spot to lounge with legs up and still have space for the kids to sit too.

Keeping to my style and to tie in the space with the rest of our home we added the gorgeous Nest Of Holloway wooden Nesting tables from Interior Secrets. They add the perfect warmth to the space and tie in with the rest of the wood furniture in our home along with the legs on the sofa and frame on the artwork.
Having the modular sofa and our particular orientation the nesting tables were the perfect fit especially when we have family and friends over, there’s enough table space for everyone sitting around the sofa and have their drinks and snacks in arms reach. The variation in height make it perfect for all my styling and to actually keep something styled on the table like a vase of flowers and not have it interfere while watching tv.

I wanted the space to have a bright and fresh new look, I opted for a lighter and larger rug than what I previously had in the space and it was the best decision i made. I warms up the space, the design has the perfect balance of light and bright with the rusty pink pattern adding some warmth. All my rugs are from Rugs of Beauty so naturally the new one is from there too, this one is from their New Collection called the Tomsk 1202 Peach Ivory Transitional Patterned Rug
To make the space more light and bright Hubby and myself also painted the open plan area and went with a light grey white shade. Id love a totally white room however as most of our finishing’s are grey based we opted for a very soft grey/white and it has completely changed the space and makes the house much brighter than before.
Finishing of the room is the best part if you ask me. This is where the fun happens with all the styling and décor pieces. One of my favorite brands for cushions is Sea tribe. I had been eyeing off some of her cushions for ages and now was the perfect time to grab some. As our sofa might feel a bit more scandi I wanted to bring some boho elements to the space and Sea tribes cushions were perfect fit. I’ve used the Folk Cushion- Mali, Folk Cushion -Flyn, Tayla Tassle Cushion – Mushroom and Sarah Lumbar Cushion – Rose I also chose to get all cushions with feather insert’s to save me time from getting new ones instead of just getting the inserts.

If you have been following me for a while you know I love color. This space was screaming for some color and the best way to add the color was through the cushions, table décor and artwork.
I dont have much room for Artwork in the space as we have a large high window behind the sofa but I had to have something in the corner. I sent my sofa mood board and art moodbaord board to Green Studio Co and based on her previous work she whipped up the best Art piece for the room. All the colors pick up the colors of the cushions and décor perfectly without it being over powering or too bright. It has the perfect softness with pop of color.
Lets talk coffee table styling now, I love having real flowers in the home however I have a new found love of artificial flowers especially when they look amazingly real like the ones from Floral Interiors. I absolutely love the girly-ness yet lux look of orchids, however I have never been able to keep any alive in my home so the Floral Interior Orchids bring a bit of lux to the space and will forever be alive, I’ve used the colors Mocha and Latte.
The vases and books tie in with all the colors in the cushions and artwork, and by simply playing around with a variation of heights with the vases, candle and books it makes the overall look of the space feel effortless yet stylish. There’s one more addition to this space however you will all need to wait another two weeks to see that.
I hope you love the space as much as I do

All other Cushions , Throw, small vase and candle are from Adair’s, Infinity Vases are from Marmoset found and Concrete white Vase is from House of Orange, Books are from Amazon and Book depository.
